Preliminary Task 1- Location and Weather
Location
We will be shooting our first Film Opening at City Impact Church as this will enable us to be working with familiar surroundings, allowing us to fully plan our scenes with exact locations in mind. Furthermore, it will be easy to get access to the specific areas we will need as we already have strong relationships with our locations’ owners. We will be shooting our film during the night to add suspense. However, this will mean lighting will be extremely important to make the scene effective- as with poor lighting, vision may be blurred and the shots may be unclear. To ensure lighting is not a problem we will arrange with the owners of our location to turn the carpark lights on on the nights that we will be filming. Furthermore, incase more light is needed we will make use of all the lighting equipment available to us. In terms of safety, our private location will also enable us to film at the later hours of the day, in the darkness, without worrying about any safety concerns for us or our cast.
This is the look that we will be going for: confined alley with street lighting
This is the location we have chosen to mirror this effect:
This old graffiti effect is how we are wanting to convey our rough theme:
Weather Forecast
We have chosen to film on Sunday as this date gave us enough time to finish all our preparation for the film opening and it also works for our cast and all the members of Sensational Studios. This is the weather forecast for the our film day. The amount of sun does not effect our film shoot as we knew that we will be filming at night, however it was essential that there will be no rain- as this would damage our filming and lighting equipment.
